practicw write 3/15

What comes first when you are writing an essay is your working thesis because you want to base your research off of whatever you decide to write about. Having an idea what you are deciding to write about makes it easier for you to research your topic. Throughout your essay, you can change your thesis or work on it because you may change your point of view as well.


A thesis is a stance where a write puts at the begining of your essay with the points that you want to argue. You put it at the begining of the essay to show your points you want the readers to focus on and what your stance is on the essay.
-developing argument or claims.
-signals what the reader should look for.
-repeat your these throughout your essay because you are showing your point throughout with your points you bring.
-working thesis: your ideas change as you are writing your essay. open to change your view point.
